The extension uses this data only to create an offline copy of the selected website and generate a ZIP archive for download to your device.
Data sharing
Offline Downloader does not sell user data and does not share collected website content or browsing data with third parties.
Remote code
The extension does not load or execute remotely hosted code. All extension logic is packaged within the extension itself.
Data storage and retention
Offline Downloader does not store downloaded website content on our servers. Generated archives are saved locally through the browser download process.
Personal information
The extension is not designed to collect names, email addresses, payment data or account credentials. It processes only the website content you explicitly choose to save.
Permissions
The extension uses browser permissions only as needed to perform its core function.
- activeTab to access the active page after you click the extension.
- downloads to save the generated ZIP archive to your device.
- host permissions to fetch selected site pages and resources.
- offscreen to process pages and build the archive in the background.
- scripting to capture rendered page content when needed.
- tabs to open and monitor background tabs during capture.
